China has established a "1+N" policy system for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality to achieve the “dual carbon” goal, and formulated a medium- and long-term greenhouse gas emission control strategy. Local implementation is the key to achieving the "dual-carbon" goal, but there are huge differences in the economic development stage, energy structure, industrial structure and resource endowment of China's provincial-level regions, and thus the focus of low-carbon transition is not the same. In order to better track local "dual-carbon" initiatives, iGDP's China Carbon Neutrality Tracker (CCNT) team conducted local research and discussed with local experts the opportunities and challenges encountered in the implementation of "dual-carbon" initiatives, with a view to gaining a deeper understanding of the progress of local "dual-carbon" initiatives.
